This hummingbird is made from northern white cedar from the Cedar Log & Lumber Company in northern Michigan. This bird, or birds similar to this can be found on Etsy at:

As I have mentioned before, northern white cedar is the ideal wood to use for fan carving.  So where does one fine NWC? Well, it is not than easy to find NWC that has not been kiln dried.  I wanted to find a supplier in Michigan and found the great folks at  Cedar Log & Lumber Company up in Millersburg, MI.
