I got my northern white cedar log split up. A mallet and hatchet do the trick. Time to take the blanks to the shaving horse and take a draw knife to them.

I typically don’t tell people to hang the  birds outside,  due to strong winds potentially damaging the birds. However,  I am testing out a bird on a longer string (approximately 36″) to see how it will hold up.
