I have  been experimenting with the paints. this hummingbird was painted with acrylic paint. I watered tthe paint down so it wasn’t too thick .  I still want the properties of the wood to show through.

I used water color paints again to give this eagle a little more life.

HHere is a carving that when I started, was going to be a cardinal. A knot in the wood took me another direction . I decided to use the not and follow the natural curves. I thought it made an interesting piece.
