I am kidding. Here is the Turkey Fan carving. I am also displaying my “photo shop” skills using Microsoft Word.

I have not seen an owl fan carving yet. This is my first attempt. This bird has a great contrast from the sap wood to the heart wood in the feathers. I like the translucency of the wings in the light.

Sorry folks, but it is that time of year. I take a break from the fan carvings and work on some pumpkin carvings.

Here I am with my set up. I am looking forward to next year. Thanks again for all those that came out and listen to me talk their ears off.

I had some cedar in the freezer. I couldn’t tell you how long it has been there. This was a test piece to see how well the wood would work. It turned out well.
