Tony's Fan Carving

Here is a small butterfly I just carved. I used 26 gauge wire for the antennae and the mouth. Something I started doing with the butterflies is adding the eyes. It is more difficult to add detail with the white cedar.

Making good use of the grain from the knot in the wood. Made a nice little stand with piece of cherry for the base and some ash twigs.

Experimenting with pointalism painting.

Here is the finished elephant that I mounted on a couple of wood rosettes that I stainef black and finished with some Shellac. The elephant is mounted with a wire so it appears ti be floating.

Here is a tree display I made for a customer. It is made from stove pipe wire and then glued with clear epoxy to the rock. I then sprayed the rock with clear lacquer. Just another option I want  to give to my customers for displaying.
